What is Inside the T Rex?
Inside the T Rex is a 90-minute live science experience designed for families.Using a full-scale, scientifically recreated Tyrannosaurus rex, we explore how evolution shaped one of history’s most remarkable predators. It is presented in a live anatomical theatre format, combining expert-led explanation with interactive demonstrations.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. The show is suitable for ages 6+.
It has been carefully designed to be educational and engaging without being frightening.
There are:
• No horror elements
• No jump scares
• No graphic content
The focus is on science, anatomy and evolution.
Is it gory?
No.
Inside the T Rex is not a horror show and does not contain graphic material. We explore anatomy and adaptation in an educational, documentary-style format. There is the opportunity to see and learn about some of the T. rex's internal organ however this is done in controlled and scientific way lead by our experts who also hold Qualified Teacher Status.

How long is the show?
The experience lasts approximately 90 minutes, including interactive elements and an interval.

Is it interactive?
Yes. Families will take part in live demonstrations and safe, hands-on science activities throughout the show.
Participation is encouraged but never forced and children can choose their level of involvement.

Will my child be brought on stage?
Some demonstrations may invite volunteers, but this is always optional and supervised. No child is singled out or pressured to participate.

Is the T Rex real?
The T Rex featured in the show is a full-scale scientific reconstruction, built using modern research and anatomical understanding.
It allows audiences to explore the structure and scale of this extraordinary animal in a safe and controlled environment.

Is it scary?
Inside the T Rex is designed to be fascinating, not frightening.
Children who are comfortable with dinosaur documentaries and museum exhibits should feel at ease.
If your child is particularly sensitive to large models or dark theatre spaces, you may wish to prepare them in advance.

Is the venue dark?
The show is presented in a theatrical setting with stage lighting. The environment is similar to a live theatre production, dramatic lighting on stage, but not pitch dark.

Can younger siblings attend?
The show is recommended for ages 6 and above. Children under 6 may find it harder to follow the scientific content.
